Returning Housing Campaign
Two concepts for an advertising campaign that was aimed at informing returning students to Grand Canyon University of housing policies.
Project Overview
Challenges
Grand Canyon University's housing program wanted to increase the effectiveness of their informational advertising to create a smoother process for returning students who need to sign up for housing.

I was tasked with creating a concept for the campaign, and took on the design work for a second concept after the designer on that team became unavailable, working on two different teams to create two seperate concepts to offer as a choice for the housing department.
Solution
Working on teams with copywriters and mentors, I developed two strategic concepts that used conceptual analogy and 3-dimensional texture to engage students in the information they needed to know.

The Design Process
Concept One - Open New Doors
Open New Doors uses the analogy of opening doors to new opportunities to build excitement for planning the next year's housing while cleverly referring to the fact that one of the main forms of communication - the poster - will be posted on each student's dorm or apartment door.
We created deliverables for an impactful social media post, an engaging poster, an instagram story, and an email header that is designed to catch students attention and organize information to allow for good retention of information.
Concept Two - Bubbly
The second concept used a calming bubbly theme to quickly catch students attention and build a feeling of reassurance to guide students into taking personal responsibility over the housing process. Breaking the process down into clear visuals helped students feel like the task was doable and created excitement around the next year of housing.
The Summary
Two Impactful Concepts
The final outcome included two high quality directions presented to the housing department that both offered solutions to streamline the communication process.
Lessons Learned
This project pushed my speed and abilities to multitask, as I created progress on a weekly basis for two separate concepts and worked on two teams to accomplish the final outcome. I learned shortcuts to speed my process up and grew more confident in my communication skills.
